lyrics
I would pull you close and kiss your mouth
And say you're the only one
And how I need you now
But you're already done
I'd finally say the things
That you should have heard before
I'm through with in-betweens
But you're already out the door
I would run down to the depot
And beg and plead in pain
For you to come back home
But you're already on that train
I'd cry and look into your eyes
And tell you I was wrong
Eleventh hour try
But you're already gone
This album has many of my favorite tracks of Glen’s: Shorn (probably my favorite song, period), solo version of Enough, No Blue Sky (I LOVE Shawn Mullins’ version, but this is exquisite) and his version of American Tune is delightful. adriannecausey
the counter rhythms and syncopations on "So Far Away" are worth the price of admission...
plover is masterful on every level... listen and share this one far and wide, folks...
I love each of them separately, and found my way here via Glen Phillips' other solo work...but together?! WOW!
How about a follow-up? ❤️ Geoffrey Gamble
